Career Day 2021: chemists are everything!

April 23, the Career Day 2021 was held in the Tushino Campus of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. An opening ceremony was headed by Pyotr Kucherenko, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Alexander Mazhuga, rector of D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.

At the event, Pharmasyntez presented capabilities of five pharmaceutical plants Russia wide, from its north-western borders to the Far East. The greatest interest of the audience was aroused by the Bratsk pharmaceutical substance manufacturing plant. A movie and a presentation about Pharmasyntez, as well as the drug manufacturing footage were shown to students. A mini-quiz on API manufacturing equipment and a training session on changing into protective clothing designed for work in a sterile room were also held. All the interactive game and quiz participants received prizes from the company.

Pharmasyntez also established several awards in the first All-Russian Student Contest in General Chemical Technology. The award ceremony was held as part of the Career Day. Two Siberians who got in the top ten of the Contest participants were among the winners: Denis Sladkov from Tomsk Polytechnic University (ranked 5th) and Elizaveta Isaeva from Irkutsk National Research Technical University (ranked 8th). They received valuable prizes from the company.

As a result of the event, dozens of 3-4 year students of the University of Chemical Technology of Russia applied for an internship, and final year students filled out Pharmasyntez Group of Companies application forms. More than three and a half thousand people attended the Career Day at the University of Chemical Technology of Russia.

High-level specialists are trained here. We are ready to accept these ideas and help to implement them,” - Natalya Malykh, Pharmasyntez Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, said at the Russia-24 press conference held that day.
