On November 24, in live broadcast on Doctor TV channel, doctors, patients, and pharmaceutical industry leaders took part in the 15th Scientific Council meeting entitled “Oncology Service of Russia. Approaching the Future”.

Participants discussed topical issues of cancer treatment:

• How is the Fight Against Cancer, a large-scale federal project, implemented?

• What challenges is it intended to tackle?

• How will changes affect healthcare facilities, doctors, and health of patients?

The Pharmasyntez Group of Companies was a partner of the Scientific Council, and the speakers on its behalf were:

• Mikhail Shurygin, Chief R&D Officer

• Pavel Gorin, Head of the Oncology and High-Cost Nosologies Department

During the discussion, the speakers spoke about the launch of a full cycle production of anticancer drugs in Russia: from pharmaceutical substances to finished dosage forms.
