JSC Pharmasyntez has commissioned the first plant in Primorye Territory for the production of medical face masks
The decision to construct a plant in Ussuriysk was made by President of the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies in association with the Primorsky Krai Administration.
The Ussuriysk plant was constructed and equipped within the shortest possible period of time. In September the equipment was purchased, and Marketing Authorization was obtained for the production of protective means, and in December the plant started manufacturing medical face masks which comply with the interstate quality standard.
Victoria Afonina, a deputy Head of Quality Assurance Department said that the process was fully-automatic. The line can produce about a million masks per month. Each mask is subjected to microbial and visual control tests.
The production capacity of the plant will ensure regular supplies of personal protection devices to the region and satisfy its own need in masks for the personnel of the Pharmasyntez Group exceeding 3,000 people.
The first batch of the masks was delivered to the Ussuriysk assisted living facility. Soon the masks will come into pharmacies and hospitals of the Krai.
