The Pharmasyntez Group of Companies, a leading player in the Russian pharmaceutical market, and CNEURO (Cuban Center for Neurosciences), part of the BioCubaFarma scientific-production conglomerate, have announced the launch of a joint project to develop a novel therapeutic agent for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Under the collaboration, Pharmasyntez specialists will be responsible for process development and synthesis of the active pharmaceutical ingredient for the innovative drug Amylovis‑201. Manufacturing process will be localized at the Group's state-of-the-art production facility, the BratskChemSyntez plant.

In partnership with the Institute of Physiologically Active Compounds, a separate subdivision of the Federal Research Center for Problems of Chemical Physics and Medicinal Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the manufactured product will undergo a comprehensive preclinical study program as part of the Russian-Cuban project “Investigation of Neuroprotective Efficacy and Safety Assessment of Amylovis as a Multitarget Compound for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease,” supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (Agreement No. 075‑15‑2025‑289).

Pharmasyntez serves as the key technology partner in this initiative, driving development, manufacturing, and the transfer of complex solutions. This successful collaboration with CNEURO further underscores the company's international caliber and the global demand for its pharmaceutical expertise.
