Today Pharmasyntez-Nord JSC and St. Petersburg Administration with the Management Company “SEZ St. Petersburg” JSC have signed an agreement on carrying on the technology development activities in the territory of the Special Economic Zone in the city of Saint Petersburg. The signing ceremony was held as a part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022.
The first manufacturing site of the company (3,000 m2) was established at the SEZ technology transfer center. The second stage of the plant (31,000 m2) is equipped completely and is engaged in mastering processing methods and licensing. The industrial production will start up at the third quarter of 2022.
A new plant with an area over 15,000 m2 will be located on a plot of 3,21Ha. The total area of the plot leased by Pharmasyntez-Nord JSC will be 7,71 Ha. The investment volume of the company will reach 13.8 bln rubles, which is an increase of 9 bln rubles as compared to the initial resident plan. At the moment, about 700 people works at Pharmasyntez-Nord JSC. After the third stage of the plant has been launched, the number of newly created jobs will exceed 1,200 people.
