Pharmasyntez to Invest Over 25 Billion Rubles in St. Petersburg Production Expansion

Pharmasyntez-Nord, a resident of the Saint Petersburg Special Economic Zone, is commencing to build the third phase of its research and production complex at the Novoorlovskaya site. The launch date is set for 2030.



Today, Kirill Polyakov, the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, led a meeting at the Nevskaya Town Hall to discuss the project's implementation prospects. Vikram Punia, President of the Pharmasyntez Group, Oleg Astafurov, Vice President for Government Relations, Mikhail Kvasnikov, CEO of Pharmasyntez-Nord were present at the meeting.

A new manufacturing site and R&D center with seven specialized laboratories, and a monoclonal antibody development unit are all planned as part of the project. This will improve the city's pharmaceutical cluster, boost the production of essential medications, and generate new high-tech jobs.

Today, Pharmasyntez-Nord produces 72 drug products, including antineoplastic and antidiabetic medicines, as well as drugs for the treatment of high-cost nosologies. Production is carried out according to the full-cycle process, in compliance with international GMP standards.



Another noteworthy event was the CEO of Pharmasyntez-Nord receiving a Certificate of Honor from Aleksandr Beglov, St. Petersburg Governor in appreciation of his role in the growth of the city's pharmaceutical sector.
