Perchlozone®

An antituberculosis agent. Its mechanism of action has not been established. It is active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium bovis. It has a pronounced inhibitory effect on the viability of tubercle bacilli, including those resistant to other antituberculosis medicines. Perchlozone is a substance of low toxicity; it does not cause significant structural or functional impairment of vital organs and systems or irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa. Its mechanism of action has not been definitively established and is still being studied.
