Exactly ten years ago, the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies began construction of a plant in Bratsk, Irkutsk Region.

Setting up production of domestic APIs is a unique opportunity not only for business, but also for strengthening the Russian pharmaceutical industry and ensuring the country's drug sovereignty.

In November 2020, the construction of the second stage of the plant was completed and the official opening of the workshop for large-scale API production was held with the participation of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.

The realization of the project on the high-quality available active pharmaceutical ingredients was made possible thanks to the support mechanisms of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Industrial Development Fund.

BratskChemSyntez is constantly modernizing and expanding its production facilities. In 2024-2025 new stages are planned to be put into operation. In 2024-2025, the investment volume for the implementation of the project will exceed 2.5 billion rubles. In 2023, in accordance with the requirements of the federal law, the company independently paid the excess profit tax in the amount of about 100 million rubles.

The pharmaceutical complex in Bratsk is one of the largest active pharmaceutical ingredient production facilities in the Russian Federation. The production capacity will reach 250 tons per year by 2025. BratskChemSyntez uses its own unique developments of pharmaceutical substances. The site synthesizes innovative API molecules for the production of antitumor, antiretroviral, and tuberculosis drugs. The in-house synthesis of APIs ensures a full production cycle of high quality drugs.
