Vikram Punia commented on the performance of regional businesses in 2023:
 

“The company has paid almost 2.4 billion rubles in taxes to the budget system of the Russian Federation, as well as over 300 million rubles in so-called windfall taxes to the federal budget. We are launching four new units, ten new lines for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients in Bratsk. This is very important, because if we do not produce domesticraw materials, we cannot talk about drug independence.”

“Pharmasyntez occupies key positions in the production of import substitution products, which undoubtedly has a positive impact on the formation of technological sovereignty of the state and the development of the Irkutsk Region. We can see that the company does not stand still, the range of products is expanding every year. For 26 years the company has deservedly maintained its reputation as a responsible taxpayer in the region,” noticed Igor Kobzev.

At the meeting it was also announced that the Irkutsk plant will soon start production of bronchodilators for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. As part of the Russian government's import substitution program, new production of sterile dosage forms in ampoules and syringes will begin in Irkutsk before the end of the year. The range of future products will be included in the list of vital and essential drugs. Two other investment projects involve the construction of a packaging materials plant and a new production facility for medicines for the pharmacy segment in Irkutsk.
 
 At the end of the meeting Igor Kobzev awarded Vikram Punia with the Honorary Diploma of the Governor of the Irkutsk Region for his long-term work and high professionalism, successful resolution of social issues of importance to the residents of the region.
