Address of Irkutsk Region Governor
The Pharmasyntez Group is among the Top-3 biggest taxpayers of the Irkutsk Region. Sergei Levchenko, Irkutsk Region Governor, spoke about the company's projects aimed at socio-economic development of the Irkutsk Region in his Address.

The head of the region noted that a number of major projects, including those of the Pharmasyntez Group, are being carried out in the Irkutsk Region. They will help the Region to achieve a new level of economic and social development.

The first project is construction of an industrial-scale pharmaceutical complex for pharmaceutical substances and finished drugs manufacturing at Pharmasyntez-Chemi in the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye. Almost one third of all Russian drugs for the treatment of socially significant diseases is planned to be manufactured at the Usolye-Sibirskoye site. Currently, the project design is underway and its stage 1, the API Department launch, is scheduled for 2021.

The second project is active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing at BratskChemSyntez that has been almost implemented. This project is scheduled to start working at full capacity in 2019 which will provide the company with the full manufacturing cycle for the drugs it produces.

The pharmaceutical manufacturing complex that is being created in the Irkutsk Region will be the largest one in the Siberian Federal District. It will help to bring the active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing to Russia, to increase the share of domestic high-quality affordable medicines for the treatment of socially significant diseases, reduce significantly a share of the regional household budget spent on drugs due to manufacturing high-quality pharmaceutical products and reducing their cost, – Governor Sergei Levchenko said. – Supporting implementation of this project will also be the key complex task in the years to come.

Implementing the Pharmasyntez Group’s projects will contribute to the economic development of the Irkutsk Region and will create over 2000 new jobs for its residents.
