In October, Pharmasyntez-Nord's site hosted a round table for endocrinologists, which gathered key specialists from all over the country to communicate and share experience. The event was held as a part of the Meeting in the North program.

The round table was attended by Aleksandr Ametov, Doctor of Medical Science, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Head of the Endocrinology Department of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education (Moscow), Head of the UNESCO Network Chair, and Irina Karpova, Chief Diabetologist of St. Petersburg.

An important addition to the program of the event was a visit to the production lines of the plant. The experts had an opportunity to see the process of drug manufacturing at different stages and assess the high level of quality control of the drugs produced.

According to Svetlana Prilepa, Chief Endocrinologist of the Tula Region, the visit to the plant left a lot of positive impressions.

"It was particularly interesting to see the production of insulins in vials and pre-filled syringes. After the visit we are full of confidence in the quality of drugs and desire to use insulins manufactured by Pharmasyntez-Nord in clinical practice," the expert shared her impressions.

"We saw a high-tech research and production complex that develops and manufactures high-quality drugs for patients with diabetes mellitus. Now the phrase 'import substitution' is no longer frightening, but pleasing," Darima Nimayeva, Chief Endocrinologist of Ulan-Ude, said.
