Pharmasyntez took part in the strategic session of the V National GMP Conference. The session was dedicated to the possibilities of Russia in the sphere of API production and current practices of local manufacture. The company shared its experience in production of pharmaceutical substances as exemplified by the plant BratskChemSyntez in the city of Bratsk.

In the course of discussion with regulators moderated by Aleksey Alyokhin, Director of Department of the Ministry of Trade of Russia, the leading domestic pharmaceutical full-cycle manufacturers discussed the possible ways to enlarge the list and ramp up production scale of such strategically important raw material for drug products as pharmaceutical substances.

Pharmasyntez, represented by Oleg Astafurov, Vice-President on Government Relations, emphasized that “the formation of a potent and capable of fulfilling the demands for drug safety of the country’s group of pharmaceutical substances manufacturers can only be possible when a special set of unique and even extraordinary measures of state aid has been formed for this purpose. Pharmasyntez has all the necessary key competencies for the production of APIs and is ready to participate in the development of state aid measures necessary for the branch”.
