The Pharmasyntez Group of Companies made the first delivery of an antineoplastic drug to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The drug is produced by Pharmasyntez-Nord site in St. Petersburg. The action of the drug is based on suppression of cancer cell division process by blocking DNA synthesis. The drug is a part of chemotherapy regimens for the therapy of malignant tumors of various localizations, including digestive apparatus, adrenal glands, mammary gland, and neuroendocrine tumors.
The agreement to launch cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies was reached in September 2022 during the visit of a Myanmar delegation to Pharmasyntez JSC manufacturing site in Irkutsk.
The volume of the first delivery amounted to 60 thousand vials of the drug.

We hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation with Myanmar and plan to rapidly increase the volume of shipments starting next year, while expanding the portfolio of drugs that will be registered in the country as early as 2024," Nikita Punia, Executive Director of the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies said.
In 2023, the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies' export business was actively developing: the company entered the markets of Syria, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic; new drugs were registered in a number of CIS and non-CIS countries; drugs are regularly supplied to more than 10 CIS and non-CIS countries.
