THE PRESIDENT OF PHARMASYNTEZ GROUP OF COMPANIES AWARDED AS THE INVESTOR OF THE YEAR
Vikram Punia was granted a prestigious award for the modernization and construction of the Pharmasyntez-Tyumen plant in a nomination of “Person of the Year 2017” established by the business magazine “tmn”.
The award was given to the President of the Russian Group of Companies for investing 5 billion rubles in the development of the Tyumen enterprise.
Pharmasyntez-Tyumen plant was launched in 2015 with the active support of the regional governor Vladimir Yakushev. Vikram Punia acquired a local bankrupt factory with all jobs preserved.
In just six months the plant was modernized according to the international GMP standard, new up-to-date equipment was bought, and the number of jobs was significantly increased. Today the company employs over 400 people. Specialists from the existing enterprises of Pharmasyntez were involved to provide training for the local personnel.
Currently Pharmasyntez-Tyumen produces pharmaceuticals for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, solutions for infusion, radiopaque contrast agents. The second stage of the plant will be completed by 2020. It will produce modern hormonal drugs that will become an alternative to expensive foreign pharmaceuticals. The amount of additional investment will reach 3.5 billion rubles.
Pharmasyntez is in the TOP-3 of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies and in the TOP-15 of the high-growth companies with maximum profitability. Plants of the Pharmasyntez Group are located in Irkutsk, Bratsk, Tyumen, Ussuriysk, St. Petersburg. Construction of a large enterprise in Usolye-Sibirskoye will begin in the near future. The company’s annual turnover is 12 billion rubles.
