Vikram Punia: Moscow authorities are working proactively under sanctions
This week, the President of Pharmasyntez attended a meeting of the heads of major pharmaceutical companies, which was held by Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, together with Tatiana Golikova, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, and Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Health of Russia.

The development of production under sanctions for the rapid import substitution was discussed at the meeting. The main topic was the support measures system for the pharmaceutical industry.

As a result of the meeting, a set of decisions on measures to support pharmaceutical manufacturers in Moscow was adopted.

“This meeting and the tasks set by Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, together with Tatyana Golikova, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, are well-timed, where the big pharma should take certain responsibility and clear the way for the drug safety of the country. We are sure that certain decisions will be made after the meeting, and there is a desire for meetings of this kind to be held with a specific periodicity. In these meetings business can understand which needs are there for the state, and the state determines its wishes and provides support to business. It is definitely a good tandem and a useful meeting,” believes he.
