On September 8, a solemn ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the first facility in Russia for the production of medicines for parenteral feeding was held in Ussuriysk on the basis of the EAST-PHARM pharmaceutical plant.
The event was attended by Yury Skachko, Chief Executive Officer of EAST-PHARM, Anastasia Khudchenko, Minister of Healthcare of Primorsky Krai, Sergei Kalitin, Minister of Industry and Trade of Primorsky Krai, Andrei Blokhin, Minister of Economic Development of Primorsky Krai, and Elena Ivanova, Minister for Regulation of Contract System in Procurement of Primorsky Krai.
The total volume of the Pharmasyntez Group’s investment in the new project will amount to 750 million rubles. The launch of industrial production is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2023. The anticipated annual production volume is 790 thousand packages per year. Commissioning of this facility will allow to eliminate dependence on imports and meet the need of medical institutions for parenteral nutrition at an affordable price.
Previously, an agreement was signed with the Government of Primorsky Krai aimed at supporting the investment project.
